High speed is not good or bad, latency is the key. What route you are given matters, your ISP matters, they can cause issues by favoring their business customers over you.
Australia, if you are paired up with people in the US, you might well have bad latency and that will get you dropped.
From Bungie
BEE, FLY, and LION error codes can be caused by general disconnections between you and the various routes your traffic takes across the internet to get to Bungie. This includes packet loss or disconnections between your home network and Bungie (such as ISP saturation or general internet congestion). It can even be caused by certain WiFi setups, faulty in-home wiring, or other issues that require on-site support or expert investigation.
Disconnects of this type can also be caused by bandwidth being claimed by other devices and applications. It may be necessary to avoid file-sharing, video streaming or other bandwidth intensive tasks on any device connected to your network while playing Destiny, including console applications that run in the background or in a window as you game.
If you hit this frequently, please follow the suggestions in our Network Troubleshooting Guide to see if troubleshooting your setup, or switching from a wireless to a wired setup improves your experience.
During investigation, Bungie has seen users hitting these errors in geographic clusters in different places at different times. For example, we recently detected 25% packet loss from the UK at the same time a number of users located there saw errors. Sometimes these issues can arise with ISP outages, resolving on their own over time.
If you have performed all of the troubleshooting steps called out above and are still hitting these errors, you may not be able to resolve this issue by changing your home network configuration. Please contact your ISP for further assistance.
WEASEL is a split-off error that was previously grouped under CENTIPEDE. This split helps expedite investigations and fixes and will be easier to understand the specific issue the player is experiencing.
Before proceeding any further, we strongly recommend switching from WiFi to a wired connection, at least temporarily. This is an important first troubleshooting step to rule out WiFi signal strength/stability as a possible culprit.
If you are repeatedly experiencing this error code, please follow our Network Troubleshooting Guide.
If you've experienced this error code and you can no longer launch Destiny, please power cycle your console.
I guess I should shut up, sure, I worked on setting up Bank of America's frame relay network, but I should just be silent and respect your authority.
No, I typed every word in my response other than information directly from Bungie to help someone find the answer to an issue. What has more authority, my words or Bungie's words. But then, it is becoming clear that you are just here to stir things up, it looks like you're worse than a "fanboy", it looks like you're a hater.
Normally when people joke, it's fairly easy to see, like a :) or a JK. All I have to go on is what you post, and it's pretty much negative stuff. I'm not a mind reader, in spite of my kids thinking I was.
It would be nice if they had someone read this mess. At the same time, they do have their own forum to ignore. I have been told that redit and twitter are the places they see, I don't know as I never try, that way I don't get angry over being ignored. Not saying they would ignore me, but it feels like there might be a good chance of it as I am not on twitter or redit. If things get bad enough, I will just move on and do something else with my time. Actually, I have some things coming up that may keep me from playing this much, I hope so because I'm excited about the project.
