Error code: "Marmot" FIX 2022 PC/Steam

On my first time installing Destiny 2 on PC, I was met with an error code "Marmot" every time I booted up the game. I went on Reddit, steam discussions, the support site; following every guide and possible fix for the issue. I verified my game files on Steam, deleted & reinstalled Battle eye, couldn't find the regedit file that some guy was talking about on twitter, Restarted my computer, double checked every driver on my system, ran a Memory test, reinstalled the game, and repeated half of those fixes mentioned probably a dozen times

Nothing seemed to work; but then I found a YouTube guide with ~9,000 views that finally got my game working. Here's what I did to fix the issue:

Open up properties on steam and hit Browse game files, then delete ALL files & folders EXCEPT for the Packages folder. Then, verify your game files. After that, everything should be good to go!

I am sorry if this fix doesn't work for you, I can personally attest that all of the fixes online for that error code are extremely frustrating and that this error almost got me to give up on Destiny 2 entirely. But if it does fix your game, go like that person's YouTube video and upvote this post so that this fix is the first thing on Google.

Sadly , it only does a temporary fix for the game until it breaks again , and bungie still won't look into this issue!

From what I read online, this has been an issue in the game for years with no attention from Bungie. Sadly, AAA game developers nowadays just don't fix bugs unless if they end in a large amount of negative feedback. The video I linked only had ~9000 views, so I don't know that Marmot will be fixed any time soon as it's probably not classified as a "Major issue" or one that is easily identified.

If the fix works for you, even temporarily, Unfortunately I can only recommend that you just do the fix again when you receive this error code.
