Witch Queen, Deluxe Edition
30th Anniversary pack
Beyond Light
Forsaken
Forsaken (what remains of it) and Beyond Light are part of the Legacy Collection, you MIGHT get a discount on that, because you already own Shadowkeep.
There is also a pre-order for Lightfall, but as I say, that's a pre-order, your call on whether you want that or not.
I disagree, the Deluxe Edition gives you access to the activities and stories from all four seasons (and the two dungeons). It's more up front than buying separately, but it's a savings overall if you intend to use all the content.
And that Seasonal content remains available until the end of S19.
Agreed. Charging extra for the dungeons is one paywall too many to the point where it is just confusing.
This ISN'T an MMORPG or a C-RPG, it's an FPS-ARPG hybrid. That $80 USD represents an entire content year. If you LIKE ARPGs, then it's quite a lot of content. If you've come to this game from MMORPGs or C-RPGs, then yes, you won't find much story. Because that's not what kind of game it is. The game is about moment-to-moment combat, and getting cool loot for your activities (and then fighting harder enemies for even cooler loot, etc etc).
If you're going to point to the cost of the Expansion and compare it to that of expansions from other popular MMOs, then you ALSO need to include the subscription fee. No MMO is going to be less that $60 USD on an annual basis, and some are as much as $160 annually.
So if you look at (for example WoW: Shadowlands) you're going to be paying about $220 USD for the expansion, and an entire content year.
So bear those things in mind when you're thinking about what Destiny 2 costs.
Sure, but neither you, nor I set the packaging and the monetization. Bungie has said they're a separate package that costs $20 USD if you buy them separately. Or, you can buy the Deluxe Edition, and they're included.
The OP specifically asked what he needed to get to obtain everything (that he didn't already have), I answered. And no, it's not "hundreds".
Witch Queen Deluxe: $79.99
Beyond Light: $29.99
Forsaken: $19.99
30th Anniversary Pack: $24.99
Or $154.96 USD at full retail.
Personally, I'd suggest waiting for a sale on Beyond Light and Forsaken, they're not current content, and there are no active events, but that wasn't what the OP asked.
