i don't get why Gambit is not getting any love
i like it way more than normal pvp
Gambit's the butt of all jokes in Destiny when Crucible isn't taking the flak.
Imo, the gamemode is great in concept, but in execution, it could be better. My biggest issues with Gambit atm are the inconsistent/unnecessary ad strength during collection phase and just about the entire Primeval phase in general. Used to be more about the loot system and invasions too, but those have since then been adjusted enough to be tolerable on their own.
They'll always focus on PvE content first, because that's what sells expansions and season passes. Next is PvP, but realistically changes to stats, effects, and matchmaking has a bigger impact on PvP than a new map that is just going to be shuffled into the rng of existing ones. Finally there's Gambit where they have to sort out layouts and enemy spawns, but then all the PvP stuff as well. That's what generally what makes it the hardest and thus last to update.
Of course at the most basic level, they could just put back all the maps they cut out/vaulted before.
Removing the Titan map or Nessus map would be better. EDZ is smaller and faster than both of those, and the Nessus map only has a one way portal.
Mars at least has two portals, albeit still is a kinda shoddy map. The Tangled Shore and Dreaming City were just... more fun. Tangled Shore was big, sure, but the cannons were great for invaders to pop an airborne missile or two or funky sniper shot. Dreaming City was just a good map.
