Requirement for getting seasonal exotic armor?

Right now I am playing via Stadia, as my GPU is broken, so I only have the seasons active, no AddOn.
Since I allways had every AddOn. I am not sure if you only need the seasonpass to get the seasonal exotic armor via lost sectors, or if you also need the newest AddOn.

Exotic armour is tied to main series expansions - so you need to own Witch Queen to get any of the exotic pieces released during Season of the Risen, Haunted or Plunder. 'Just' owning the season passes without Witch Queen, does not allow you to get those exotics.
