And I have updated my drivers yes, and ive reinstalled the game a couple of times didnt verify the integrity tho
Download Furmark, it's a GPU stress test that will tell you your temps.
I figured something might be wrong with my windows build so instead of reinstalling it i finally decided to upgrade to win 11 (It so bad!). My pc still crashed. Then turning the priority to high suddenly made my pc not crash. My game still crashes but hey thats a win for me. Instead now im actually getting an error code. broccoli
- try running the game in Windowed mode if you are currently running it fullscreen). if it doesn't crash, try borderless windowed. if still no crash, you can just leave it here.
if it still crashes:
- use the default profile of your GPU if you are running the OC'd profile
- Make sure Windows is completely up-to-date
- Do a clean uninstall of your GPU's driver (use DDU - Display Driver Uninstaller - to remove the existing driver. just google to download it)
- install latest driver for your GPU and test it again.
Im already using borderless windows.
But i'll test again with regular windowed mode if it works I can just use borderless gaming.
Ive already done all these things. I've also tried turning motion blur on and wind impulse on. Turned on vsync and capped the frame rate.
Other than that I've also turned off fullscreen and turned on override high dpi settings. Didnt seem to help.
I've read somewhere changing your xmp settings might help but im not gonna do that for just this one game
broccoli errors are usually related to video. might try checking the bungie forums if you haven't yet. can't imagine how RAM speed would make a difference, so sounds a bit sus on that. my RAM is running at 3600MHz from the XMP profile and its never caused an issue.
Ive had the same issue and the only thing that I was able to do, was move the install folder from 1 drive to another. I had it on my SSD, but was running out of space due to it only being a 256GB SSD and my OS is installed there, so I moved it to D: drive, then all of a sudden, I started getting the same issues as you. I had a spare 256 GB HDD from an old PC and I installed it on my pc then moved D2 to that Drive "E:" and everything works perfectly now.
Not sure WTF is going on, but if D2 crashes, this was the only fix I could work out for my issue.
Yes many times, I almost said screw this game. This issue had me flustered for a month and I couldnt seem to figure it out. I moved a month ago and went from a 400+ mbps to a 25-30 mpbs connection and reinstalling took 9+ hours each time. IDK why, but D2 was causing my D: drive to become inaccessible 90% of the time, which caused the lock-ups and crashing.
I used Steam Browse Local Files and moved my Game to my E: drive took less than 20 mins vs 9+ hours re-downloading every time.
I have no issues now and Im glad I took the time to figure it out.
Hope this helps you with your issue.
