Why cant we put skins on some exotic weapons?

Its interessting cuz if you hold a exotic weapon where you cant put on a skin and go into a skin view the skin will still be applied on the weapon on the review.

Not exactly sure what you mean, but..

You can't put skins on exotics other than the ones that do exist because of monetization reasons and because being able to put a different exotic skin on your exotic is kinda unbalanced pvp wise (As people have said so before).

Same reason why you can't put shaders on exotics, because it would make ornaments for exotic weapons almost obsolete, it comes down to monetization reasons again.


The entire prophecy dungeon was made solely because of how well the anarchy ornament sold back in the day (The red siva one). Buying things like ornaments goes directly into Bungie's resources for game/content development.

The only thing i'd like to see is ornaments for weapons/armor that doesn't have a ornament at all or 1 'meh' ornament (Looking at you karnstein gauntlets).

Yeah, mostly because it's a thing Bungie sells.

Personally, it's the Exotic armor I want to be able to change. I hate the fact that wearing a piece of exotic armor messes with a "look".

I meant shaders then, its interessting cause you can still see the shader being applied to that weapon if you go into preview just cant fully apply to it.

They can't sell you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ "shader ornaments" (I'm looking at you, Vex Mythoclast) if you can just change the shader yourself.
