server error unreadable game content pc

I have tired uninstalling, changing ssd's, restarting pc, checking game files, nothing seems to be working all it does is opens the game and installs destiny and says "server error, unreadable game content. A full destiny 2 reinstall is required for more info visit help.bungie.net and search for error code: beagle.

having the same problem, did you ever have any luck? I've reinstalled twice, verified files twice. I moved the game from my hdd to my ssd before i tried playing so i don't know if that played a part in the problem or not.

Hope this helps you guys out because I was having the same problem all day today. I re-installed 4 times and tried validating the game files in steam a bunch with no success.

Go to this folder location C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Temp and find the Destiny 2 folder and rename it to something else (ie. Destiny 2_backup) as far I can tell it just has log files for when Destiny 2 crashes. After I did this I was able to launch the game normally and play.

I reinstalled a 4th time and when I tried to run it it still gave me the same error so I gave up and went to bed. Woke up in the morning and ran the game again just for S&Gs and it worked fine. No idea what the problem was or what fixed it.

I did this and it worked but once I got past the character selection screen it crashes again and creates the file again. It did this 3 times already.

Hey I Have been having the same problems but I do not have the folder location C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Temp More specifically I do not have a folder under %username% named Appdata so how would i resolve this should i make the file folders?

"%username% stands for your Windows username (which should be located under Users). If you modify it with your username, you should be able to find the Temp folder and the Destiny 2 folder there. E.g. your windows user ist "bobcraft" the folder shoud look like "C:\Users\bobcraft\AppData\Local\Temp" theres then the folder "destiny2" just rename it. worked for me after 2 days of trying every other methode ^^. IF that wasnt your problem and there ist any temp folder maybe you have to look for the corresponding translation to "users" e.g. in germany its "benutzers".

But if you just copy paste in your file explorer or even in the "run window" it should just open up your temp folder if you have the rights on your machine for that :D

in the same location: go to view>>show hidden files

I did resolve this problem. the method of renaming the file works. what i needed to do was enter the exact file location into the search bar as the file existed but was hidden from view. once entered into the search bar and hitting search the desired file as well as all others in the same folder would show up. I do not know why they where hidden but it doesn't matter anymore anyway.

This was exactly what I needed to do to fix my wife’s game. Thank you so much. She was so sad she thought her game was just broken and unplayable
