Will light level cap increase next season?

Judging from google, bungie increased it every season for forsaken 400-750...

As new light player, the 750-900 grind was fun, but the 900-945 was less fun. 945-950 grind was frustrating. Pinnacle doesn't interest me at all.

From my understanding the seasonal artifact is new to D2, and will get reset next season. Do you think Bungie will just rely on seasonal artifact & season pass rank to keep players interested from now on?

AFAIK level caps only go up with major story DLC (750 was the cap from Forsaken IIRC). So whenever then next story launches light level will go up.

they increasd the power lvl each season by 50 and hit 750 at the end of year two (SoO) but at this point we dont know^^

Next season will probably cap at 999 for lore reasons and extra taken laughter

Players have already done the shattered throne with 999 characters and nothing happens, perhaps it means gear level rather than artifact though.

My bet is that it will go up.

You don't really need to spend time grinding the levels. You just play the content (the weekly) and get gear. It's near the end of season and I imagine you don't really have other reasons to come online aside from doing the weekly and perhaps grinding a bit more for season pass.
