Can't report this one player?
I just encountered someone who intentially lost a match of gambit by doing nothing but sitting in the start, shooting at a wall and hurling insults at the rest of us. Then, after the game when I went to report him, I couldn't. The only options were view profile or send friend request? He had no emblem or anything in the "previous results" page. What's going on?

Nope, "report player" option is available for everyone else, just not this one player.

Bungie might not do much, but Steam will. I reported his Steam account instead. Valve doesn't play around.

that won't do anything tho, usually valve only does something against those that cheat on their games or scam people, steal accounts and that kind of stuff

You can't do it right now due to the unexpected maintenance going on right now, but when things are back online follow the information contained in this article:

But he wasn't cheating in the match, just losing on purpose. I'm not going to risk my account for this dude.
Xaren Nov 15, 2019 @ 2:21pm
There is no risk to your account for reporting them. If that player was using idle macros to stay in the match, that would constitute as cheating.

Nope, just shooting at walls. Like I said in the OP.

Which might be an idle macro in play.

Nope, he also invaded every time and suicided, then started yelling something in Spanish. He just got mad about something and threw the game.
Xaren Nov 15, 2019 @ 2:34pm
Well, I would still report anyway. Toxic behavior like that is not cool.

He did say that the person was typing in game chat though, which suggests that they weren't idle. I haven't looked at the report feature since the move to Steam, so I'm not sure if it has changed, but you could probably file this one under "griefing". Not sure if anything would be done about it, but it wouldn't hurt...

To be honest, I don't really care that much about him throwing the game but the fact that I could not report him with the in-game feature.
