got kicked out of the raid fireteam after playing for 30 mins...
so i said at the start that i've never played this raid before and dont know what im doing, everything was fine for like 30 mins and when we got to a hard encounter i got kicked out after i didn't know what to do...
I don't understand why ? why you can't just show me and i'll do it but kicking out with not saying anything is really weird
feel like i don't wanna play any raids no more, you are spending 30 min to 1 hour and not getting anythings
also it's hard to leard what to do if you solo

i am not gonna report them, but it's the first time in years when i felt really bad playing an online game
usually i don't care cause it's just a game and you don't know the people, but this was so weird
like i did a mistake and lost 30, 40 min of progress cause they can't be patient

It's a stupid question, but... did you guys used voice chat or at least text chat?
Did they tell you the mechanics or did they just kick you after a while?

bungie bans people if you beat the raid/encounter but get kicked before the loot drops. this is them kicking for them not knowing how the encounter works/struggling.

and then for OP, did you join a KWTD(know what to do) group? because for that, they expect you to know how the encounters work, and dont want to go through the extra time of teaching.

Well, in that case, I'm sorry, but you got on the team with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It happens. But not everyone in the community are like them.

Not all LFGs are bad, I know exactly how you feel not wanting to raid after feeling completely useless for 1-2 hours. It can take a couple of lfg attempts to find the right fireteam.

Sometimes you get grouped up with the bad apples. I've been lucky the few times I've matched up with random guardians.
Don't feel bad, you'll find a group that you enjoy playing with sooner or later :)

Meanwhile GTA Online heist wasn't that infuriating in latest endgame content with grindable solo play and also FREE.

But you need it to get like 4 mil first for Kosatka and Sparrow. So you would either grind boring CEO/Biker missions. Doesn't change the fact that OG and Doomsday heist are NIGHTMARE with randoms. Literally "if D2 had matchmaking to raids".

R* only did it because not many people have friends and bad MM experience.

I also dislike these childish people thinking a raid in a game is something important in real life.
I feel sad for them, because most of the time these guys don't have a real life except their game and hating everyone playing worse than themselfes.

context matters, do you have exotics and gear thats relevant for high end content or rolling around in blue gear and no exotics, were you improving throughout the encounter etc etc, but sometimes random pugs can just be toxic and all you can do is forget them and move on so dont let randos keep you from doing raids as they are one of the biggest reasons people play this game.

A few weeks after Vow came out I joined a fireteam. I was still kinda new to raiding (I had attempted and almost beating previous raids) but we got past the first bit and then during caretaker they kicked me. I asked the guy later on and he said I didn't have great damage and he personally did not hear me on the mic, which was fair. It was pretty annoying but I kept going and eventually managed to beat the raid. Don't be too hard on yourself about it, these things happen and who knows someday you might even flawless a raid or complete a seal for one.

Just host your own fireteam and put up your own LFG.
BirdDinosaur Aug 29, 2022 @ 3:02am
yeah, that's a ♥♥♥♥ move on their part but also, watch a video guide so you aren't completely blind. It can literally take up to 17 hours or more if one guy just keeps making mistakes. You gotta be competent at the very least. If you are new to the game it really isn't advised to immediately do the raid. I know some people will do it with a veteran friend but like I said, its generally not advised if you're new because first of all you won't have most of the exotics, 2nd you won't have most of the mods, 3rd you will lack the mechanical skills for the jumps and you probably won't have the fragments or aspects for each subclass. You should start off with dungeons, not raids. Dungeons will give you a glimpse of what's to come in raids and will prep you for it. Dungeons will also have weapons that most people use for raids and its also shorter.
