How do I extract resonant element?

I've attuned the weapon but there's no option to extract.

Inspect the weapon and then hover your cursor over the red square near the mods.

1. It must be a red bordered weapon.
2. You can do one of two things
2a. There is a challenge shown on the weapon card. This is to just use it in activities.
2b you can ignore the challenge.
3. Whatever you decide, inspect the weapon and there is another box to the left of the mods. Click this to claim resonance.

If you do the challenge you get 300. If you dont you get 100.

There is no box to the left of the mods.

I wish I could share a photo. The weapon has the red border, and it has an exclamation point. And when I hover over it it says "this weapon has resonant elements available to be extracted. Open the details screen of the weapon to extract"

But when I open the details screen it looks like any other weapon.

You may have to go to the enclave first and get the container item for the resonant materials. Go to the enclave, interact with the left side of the 'crafting machine' and see if that makes it start working. May also need to do some story stuff to unlock access to it.
