Should I come back as a Old Character or new one?
So I haven't played this game in YEARS. I think I was around for the 1st DLC and haven't played since. Only reason was I was playing other things. I know they have added a LOT since then. I'm reinstalling the game now. But I'm wondering if I should start off from the beginning or continue were I left off. What you all think?

you'll essentially start at the same point. mostly just preference, i'd say.
i'll always use my original character.

Sounds good. I've seen some people post that a fresh start was a easier. But I think I'll just stick with my original and see how it goes.

I would say right now is the best time if your character was left off at a low level considering the dlc is free currently. Everything is scaled to the previous seasons power cap I believe or the witch queen original power cap. But after doing the first witch queen campaign mission you can go to the tower and there will be a kiosk called gift from the thunder gods which gives you a full set of items at 1540 power at least for me and thunderlord the exotic from destiny 1 which all of that is enough to do any of the raids that have come out and maybe do the witch queen one im unsure of what the final bosses pwr lvl is.

Just be aware, there's no reason to make more than one of a class type.

Make a Hunter, a Titan and a Warlock and see which one you like, but don't bother making more than one of each.

Personally, I'd say load up your old character and see where you are. If it's as old as you say though, look closely at your gear. If it has a grey upper left corner, that mean's it's been sunsetted. Odds are all your gear has been sunsetted. That means the maximum level you can get on it is 1350, which is the "floor" for this expansion.

1350 is okay to get you started, but you'll want to replace that stuff.

Thanks for the Info. My gear is right at 1350 at the moment so I will try to Upgrade or get new gear soon.
either way is doesnt matter

There is a "Gift of the thunder gods" chest in the HELM that gives you catch up gear.
