Why is Gambit designed to be cancer?
The entire mode is literally just another crucible gamemode. What's the point in having a well sorted out build and coordinating with team mates just to have the other team win because they have some ape who does nothing but play crucible? They just need to remove the invasion mechanic entirely so it's a sort of competitive co-op instead of just a competition to see who can make the match take the longest.

The don´t need to remove invasion, they need to start to actually balance the weapons ( and everything else ).
I think the inverted invasion was also a nice change.

Bungie making PVP enabled every where doesnt sound far fetched at all.

They would make it so that if you get killed in public areas, you lose all gear and light permanently and the other person gets your light and items. Oh yeah, and the tower will also be a PVP area of course.

The current gambit is interesting to say the least since I have multiple times encountered people putting the primeval on 20% health in the first stage of envoys.

Usually you are supposed to grind it down, kill envoys, grind, kill envoys, grind and kill.

But i see more and more sketchy matches where the enemy team nearly one phases the primeval.

And if you look at damage numbers, nothing is out of the ordinary.

As if the players do legit damage to kill it, but something reduces its HP in the first phase to near dead state.

I suppose Gambit is also being invaded by those super skill players who sprint and 1 tap around the corner no ESP used i swear headshot all at the same time? Cheaters, if you dont get it.

All I want is a gamemode where two teams of people face off to see who has a better worked out build and who can clear the most adds/do the most boss dps. Stuff like that, actual PvE stuff that the game is supposed to be about. We already have crucible for PvP and Vanguard for PvE, why can't we just have a competitive co-op gamemode too? Gambit is sold as this but it is not competitive co-op when a twice guilded Flawless who probably hasn't even finished the campaign can win by just wiping our team over and over until the timer runs out.

The only thing I can think of with that Primeval thing is they have one player holding literally every stack of Primeval Slayer and he whips out something like Telesto and dunks the second it gets summoned. Is there a cap on the Primeval Slayer buff? I've gotten it up to x4 before but dunno if it stops there.

I have gotten 8x on matches that last long, but the more stacks, the more damage to envoys and primeval, I assume there is no cap but just infinite. Primeval slayer is also shared amongst all players, I always thought, or at least if you do hit the envoys once.

Still, sketchy since 2x primeval slayer doesnt boost damage at all, unless there is something super broken that nobody talks about because its an exploit mechanic, thats the only thing that comes to mind. Sometimes I wish we had rewind options to watch the match again from all angles, this would show what they are doing.

They're trying too hard to seperately balance the PvE & PvP in Gambit rather than mixing them, making it awful on both ends of the spectrum.
