So, I got a gaming pc now and I want to start playing on pc. Do I have to go out and rebuy beyond light and all of the old dlc or can I go and buy the new dlc?

you need to buy them again, unless you use microsofts own systems idk how those works
but hope you diidnt buy any"GAMING MOUSES AND GAMING HEADSESTS" god forbid those mostly can be garbage quality

DLC doesn't transfer over from console to pc so if you want to replay all the current content again you will have to rebuy DLC.

you can also link your console characters trough bungies website essentially linking ur console and steam so your poggress carries over

Hi all!

An important point I feel I should make.

DLC is licensed by the platform, not by Bungie. When you purchase a DLC, you are purchasing the license to use that DLC on that platform. This is how DLC has worked for years.

Cross Save does not grant entitlements to DLC or transfer licenses for DLC to other platforms. If you wish to access the DLC on other platforms, you will need to purchase it on that platform.

Do my previous game purchases transfer across platforms?
Destiny 2 expansions (ex: Forsaken, Shadowkeep) do not transfer between platforms with Cross Save. Destiny 2 Season Passes!
(ex: Season of the Undying) do move between platforms on the characters they were redeemed on

The only DLC you don't need to buy on PC if you already own it on console is the season passes. Otherwise other DLC's do not transfer over as per licensing agreements.

However if you link your console account and use cross save to send it to PC, any weapons or armor or subclasses you already unlocked will transfer over. You just won't have access to the activities that granted them prior.

so if i transfer from xbox to pc but have previous dlcs on xbox and buy the new dlc on pc will i be able to boot up my xbox to play the old dlcs if i wish then switch back over to my pc for the new dlcs?

If you use the link Dante posted and set up cross save you can bounce between console and PC and your progress is on both. Season passes are cross platform with cross save because they're treated like in game currency not expansions.

A friend of mine doesn't have one of the expacs, so when the NF is on that expac, he just logs in his PS4 which has the expac, if that answers your question.

You have to purchase the DLCs again if you are on a different platform. The DLCs you already bought are still on the same platform, so you still have them. Bungie wants your money
