there are no 'saves' in destiny 2. activities are either meant to be completed in one go (strikes, season activities etc) or will have checkpoints (dungeons, raids etc). all of your character's information is saved on Bungie's servers, so there are no local save files
Save?
It's an always-online game, your progress is constantly saved to the servers and resumed when you log back in.

If you perhaps mean campaign missions, I believe only the Witch Queen missions feature checkpoints that will let you pick up where you left off if you leave mid-mission.
You just have to go back to the spot in the open-world where you initially started it, and you should have the option to continue at the big mission flag.
It saves when you log off, and loads were you left off when you log back in. Finish any mission first or it will be lost. Game has no manually save.
You can have 3 different games, one on each character. *If this is what you want to ask.
Thank you for all your help and I think that any game needs a save position when we log out and I like the game but if I can't save it as an 80 year old very limited player then I will not continue as but I wish all you younger players all the best and enjoy......an aussie old git.

Your progress as far as experience, gear etc is constantly being saved. Your location is not, when you restart the game you will be in orbit. Activities such as missions and strikes etc are to be completed other than missions in Witch Queen or dungeons etc, they have check points so if you leave you will only go back to the start of the part you're in. It's really not a big deal and I don't think it would really work to try to have saves like offline games.

I'm only 70, but I plan to still be going at it @ 80, 90?
