Is Telesto still really good?

Last time I properly played this game was last summer, is Telesto still a meta weapon thats worth using

I would not call it meta but it is very playstyle defining and if you learn how to use it in and out, its insane.
Very, very bloody good Fusion rifle, might just take a while to get used to though

It is OK, but not great. IMO there are better options for almost any situation these days. In PvE it can melt groups of minor enemies, but so can a grenade and with Void 3.0 anyone can put together a combo of aspects (volatile rounds, explode on ability kill etc) that will wipe out groups better without taking up an exotic slot.

I used Telesto a lot back in the day, but I prefer to use an exotic with more range (and one that works with champion mods) and leave everything at mid to close range to abilities. Maybe next season will have champion mods on fusion rifles but right at this moment it is a waste of a weapon slot.

Telesto is okay, not really a meta changing weapon but it has it's uses. I'd say between B - A tier, there are better fusion rifles out there.
