I don't know how much it would really impact the game to just let players put their legendary ornaments on exotic armor, but I think there does need to be some kind of way to quickly see an opponent's loadout. Inspect Player is much too slow for a PvP match.
Meaning that the ornament change prevention "balance" is pointless. Where it matters, in ranked, you can already tell what players has before the game starts. So eitherway the function serves no purpose. It's an old myth being perpetrated by players that don't know better.
You can however prove me wrong by livestreaming with webcam, joining random games and being Johnny-on-the-spot with callouts what exotics people have when they bend around the corner to smoke you. Do that and I'll say you are the exception to the rule and why they should keep the function as is.
As I told the other player, "often" isn't always, which means it has no purpose. Where it matters, in the competetive scene, you can already tell what's what.
not in gambit though cause gambit is the crime zone
lol its not that hard to tell what exotics ppl have homie i typicaly only look for the pvp exotics though
