Ornaments over Exotic armor
Hi, surely this thread exists a hundred times already but i would really like it if i could put cosmetic armor on top of exotic armor. and by that i don't just mean the 1-3 eververse skins they got.
i bought that guardian games set with glowy legs and i think glowy RGB legs would look RAD but i cannot wear them because stompees refuse to change. now i know they were nerfed but i don't care. mobility above all.

if must be there could be a Silver fee for freeing an exotic armor piece from the shackles of being limited to few choices that cost silver.
i hope someone shares this sentiment of wanting to wear decorative armor over exotic armor like over all the legendary armor. have a nice day

Never gonna happen.

Exotics are specifically designed so that other players can spot the at a glance and know how to counter them.

I think this is a nonsense argument from olden days to "keep things as they are". There is litterally no way you see what pants, gloves, helmet someone is wearing as they slide around a corner 70 meters away while headshotting you with a handcannon. And with the additional recoloring of the armor pieces and different skins, some that alters the structure of said item, this argument falls even deeper into the BS can.

Same goes with exotic weapons. Applying shaders to them is already implemented in the game if you check them from collection so why not finally putting it in our hands ?

I mean... you might not be able to tell what they have but people like me easily can.

In competitive PvP it will tell you what exotics and weapons your opponents are using at the start of the match. There is no other use for needing to know others exotics. I agree that this is nonsense argument.

Just because one person can't doesn't mean another person can't either. The ornaments are exclusive to the exotic so they are still easily identifiable, especially now when you can easily look at what ornaments a specific exotic has just by inspecting the item in question.

Just give two exotics the same ornament and swap them out right when the match starts. The starting screen is now pointless.

I just want to be able to put a Shader on an Exotic gun. We can with Exotic armor and don't give me "Exotic gun have Ornaments" I know been playing this game since day one over on the PS4 and played D1 since day one before then. Eververse was not even a thing then so there was no Ornaments. Also Exotic Armor as well as their ornaments have the ability to slap a shader on them. But this is more of a nit pick.

I mean sure, and I know when HL3 is coming out.

Shows how much you know.

D1 100% has Eververse.

Iirc at the start it didn't, I wanna say it was introduced when Taken King launched.
Your point still stands though

Hence my point that you can't. There are not enough pixels on a character at a distance to be able to determine that. Adding to the structural changes some ornaments has, further ruins your claim. I'm not saying what OP suggested should be implemented. I am saying that in 2022 it is time to drop that argument which has no validity to it. It's made up gobbledygook.

Except it isn't made up, you just aren't good enough to see it so you think it's made up

They don't want to implement it because they want you to buy the ♥♥♥♥ ones they have made on eververse... and thats the end of story

I can often tell exotics even with ornaments from a fair distance away, so idk if it's your FOV or you don't recognize some ornaments or something; you should generally be able to ID them a fair distance away unless you're constantly trying to look at players from long range.

If anything, that's the reason they won't put shaders on exotic guns.
