Your disk is dying.
Other than this, i noticed that elden ring uses 12gb ram minimum and 16gb recommended, you have 16gb in total, there is a small chance this issue could be derived from the RAM. Destiny 2 is suffering from a memory leak atm, not sure if the problem is relevant to the memory leak but the game should work for a couple of hours without crashing, if that isn't the case, then... i have no clue.
One final tip i can give you, is to check if you have installed any software recently, that could be causing conflicts. Overlays are also a thing of the devil when it comes to gaming as they slow down your PC and even have the power to cause random crashes when gaming, this has happened to me before. The only overlay i leave on is steam, and steam is not a safe thing either, it also slows down your PC if you have too many friends/groups added. Samething with having too many games on steam library can slow down your PC (using tabs bypasses this issue while steam overlay usually you have to go offline).
I'll go ahead and download another one and see if the crashes still happen. I'm beginning to think it might be because of steam, as my battle.net games don't crash. I don't think it's related to the memory leak, as the memory leak came into effect much before my crashes. And thank you for the overlay tips, but I have already disabled them all.
Give a heads up when you test it out.
More possibilities to consider if the 3rd game works fine on steam:
->Antivirus causing issues? I've had instability issues with Avast in the past, despite still using it today... There are some other AVs that cause problems too, some of them are way too aggressive on your system.
->There is also the possibility of a windows update going rogue and creating issues. Assuming you did not install anything in between that could have caused instability, windows at times could prompt you to install something like new drivers or even software (my razer keyboard has an install prompt for synapse that pops up during windows installation and occasionally windows might bring it back up out of nowhere after booting.)
->Check if your windows 10 is proper customized to allow gaming performance as priority (game mode on/off, power management settings set up performance, etc. You can google this stuff fairly quick). This things sometimes can help performance as they reduce background stuff, allowing games to take priority for the most part, which can lead to better stability overall. Game mode is known to help but might also cause issues, it usually varies from person to person. In my case it helps, but there have been reports of systems acting weird with game mode on.
->Do you have any RGB apps installed? If you do, remove that stuff from your system. RGB is probably even more of an issue than overlays are as they can outright damage your system permanently. My previous system was completely unstable and became damaged based on the usage of razer synapse 3. Installed it once, got BSOD nonstop associated with memory issues, stopped using it but did not remove, pc worked fine. Updated app a year later and decided to give it a try again, got BSOD nonstop and this time they did not go away unless i removed my keyboard initially, then GPU from the motherboard, using any of the PCIE slots would cause the issue randomly within a short amount of time, my GPU even started causing sparks once before my hardware stopped working and kept rebooting every 5 seconds after powering up. I sent my gpu to my brother to test it out, it worked fine on his rig, even after the sparks that scared the living hell out of me (cable plugged on the monitor was essentially sounding like popcorn, constantly crackling), then i went through the trouble of unplugging stuff and testing out what would be causing the issue. In the end it was either a faulty PSU or my old motherboard became faulty due to the BSOD situation that led to my GPU acting out of order. You can see alot of reports on RGB apps causing instability on systems, usually crashing the computer/applications and sometimes BSOD. These BSOD i had were the same both times i used the app, first time, my power supply went RIP, system was rebooting every 5 seconds aswell, bought a new PSU, changed it and it worked for a year, untill i used synapse 3, which led to the same old issues i had before buying the new PSU, this time it was more aggressive, first time my system managed to survive for 2-3 months with this situation until PSU died, this time it was different, in less than a week, my system was out of order. All of this happened when i installed synapse 3 and decided to use it.
I can even go a step further and mention a friend of mine that also used synapse 3 for keyboard customization like 2 months after me buying mine, his system was acting even worst than mine, and his system was brand new. Windows would stop responding at times and fail to boot, sometimes it would boot and not work. Sometimes it would just crash at random. I told him to remove that app, from the moment i told him to do that, system went back to normal. He was starting to regret building a computer because i told him to do so, shortly before price hikes from covid. Alot of times, problems come from stuff like this and updates. Of course, this does not apply to all systems, it's something that might impact alot of people, but each person can have their own issue that is derived from the same core problem. People have the tendency of googling for solutions related to what they get at the time, for the most part, there is something that connects the problem to other peoples systems, so you have to connect the dots and think, what could be wrong and what solutions you should apply from others on your system that could help somehow. This is what i have done along the last 10 years.
You can check this thread related to the RGB situation here: https://www.reddit.com/r/razer/comments/shx0v7/razer_synapse_is_the_worst_thing_i_have_ever_seen/
Made by me not long ago, i replied recently to someone based on the RGB situation and the video i posted there is relevant to the problem, check it out if you have installed any RGB apps before, sometimes things get installed without your consent and are still active in your system even when you remove the core apps from your system, that video shows one potential issue from installing RGB apps as some apps have additional stuff attached to them. If your system is prebuilt, it is very likely to come with alot of crap installed. Even driver discs come with crap you don't want. I always get drivers on my own, manually, from the websites associated with what i want to update.
If you use your system mostly for gaming, you should work with it based on that only, for the most part. Avoid installing apps in your system, they can change things going forward and going back to a previous state might not be possible anymore, even with a fresh windows install. It all depends on how sever the problem is. Example, i installed W10 in february on my new rig, completely fresh. The only stuff i have installed:
-multiple browsers (chrome for family stuff, firefox for my research/privacy, opera gx for gaming related stuff)
-multiple game launchers along with some games installed (system is mostly for gaming and web browsing)
-CPUid HWmonitor (i open this in the background during some game sessions to control how high the system goes when running the game, i used to use MSI's overlay before but it caused issues and would not work 1/3 of the time, overlays are bad so... i won't be using that again for sure)
-geforce experience (i wanted to avoid installing this, installing drivers manually is better. Instantly customized app to remove overlay.)
-DDU (just because i run into problems)
-Avast AV (can cause issues at times, but been a good boy for the most part the last 3 years)
-wallpaper engine (resource hog, known to cause stability issues, i use it on my new rig, old one i had to nerf it down to lower settings and non animated wallpapers to avoid system stress)
-discord (chatting with ppl)
-gyazo (mostly for quick screenies when browsing, helps alot in many ways, my most recent addition to the system and hasn't caused any issues. If by any chance i come across any issue with a game, first thing i will be doing is removing gyazo and test again)
-medal (this is my go-to app to record short clips of my gaming moments, not the best, but works just fine for me and is fairly straight forward. App can slowdown your pc a bit. Sometimes might have conflicts with some games and recording them, such was the case with Destiny 2 when they added the anticheat engine, i had to reconfigurate my app with support to make it work again for this game. I've had random game crashes occur to me occasionally after a game update, happened with Forza horizon 4/5 and cyberpunk 2077, these got patched within a week usually after reporting the problem along with other ppl)
This is pretty much it what i have installed, if i ever add anything else to my system in terms of new apps, it will be adobe programs, i doubt these will have any impact on my system in terms of stability as i had them on my old one for about 3 years with no issues. On my previous built, i had about 3x the amount of things installed vs now. Gotta make sure you don't install meaningless stuff, RGB effects might be nice but not worth sacrificing your system over it. Samething for apps that allow you to change settings on your mouse/keyboard with no RGB options, these same apps can be as bad for your system.
I've already set up my windows settings for gaming. It isn't my rgb software (GHUB) as I ran destiny without it active and it still crashed. I ran a full virus scan yesterday through windows defender and it brought up a wacatac file that I eventually got off my system.
I might try to flash my BIOS to a later version. I read on another forum that there were some instability issues with the latest one, but that was posted about a month ago, so I'm not sure if they are talking about the one I currently have on my mobo.
I will say, I ran the DISM command today, and then ran the SFC /scannow. This brought different results than what I was getting before. When I ran the sfc command previously, it kept saying there were corrupt files but that it had repaired them. I thought it was weird that it said that every time I ran it, but didn't think too much of it since it said they were repaired. However, after running DISM first today, and then running the scan, it said everything was fine, and there were no corrupt files to be repaired. Not sure what this means, or if it even matters, but I'm going to try playing Destiny again and see if it crashes.
So we can rule out it is not a steam issue most likely, but something with your system that is causing this problem.
You should honestly remove that app and see if it helps. I'm not joking when i tell you those apps are pretty bad for your system and can cause all sorts of bad things to happen.

Heck, there is even the possibility you updated GHUB without knowing and the version you are using is causing issues to your system. Seriously, remove that app, give it a try. If it helps, then stay away from it, i know it sucks but what do you prefer? Random issues or having the possibility of using your system without them? If it does not help, install it back, simple. GHUB was one of the apps i had previously and it stopped working all of a sudden after updating it, i had to use it because i have a logitech G29 steering wheel.
As for the bios rollback, if i were you, i wouldn't do that. Your mobo brand should state if a specific bios version is causing conflicts. I updated mine not long ago from ASROCK, one of the versions had an exclamation mark stating that version of the bios was known to cause issues for some people and made me aware of the risk before making any changes. It wasn't the latest version, it was prior to the current one i am using if i remember correctly.
Some brands do not want you to rollback bios because it can go wrong and you might mess up your system completely. I wouldn't downgrade the bios, not worth the risk. Your system going from working fine to not accepting to do things it did before without messing up simply states some change was made for that to happen.
The CPU stuff, i have seen people do that for Destiny 2 in the past to bypass specific issues, not related to crashing but more down to weird performance issues with the game.
You should make a backup of your important files, try a windows 10 fresh install by removing all stuff in your system. If your AV spotted a trojan and removed it, there is the possibility it might have left unwanted changes behind you are unaware of. The fresh install will clear that problem away, plus it will allow you to reinstall drivers via the web. Get a pen drive with enough room, format it and put windows 10 in it, you can google that stuff, it's fairly easy. Your computer will get wiped clean and reset entirelly, meaning, any changes done to your system will not be present anymore. Plus it will gain a performance boost most likely, assuming your system is using the same windows installation for a long time now, it becomes cluttered and slows down overtime. Considering the stuff you said about using the scan function and it pointed out corruption in your system, it is in your best interest to do a fresh install.
What else can you do (if you ignore the windows 10 fresh install)? If you haven't already, try running both games without anything running in the background. CLOSE EVERYTHING, just leave steam and the game running, since D2 is an online game, turning off your AV can be risky, even more so if your system was infected recently. Since you stated you have GHUB open, there is the possibility of you having other apps also open, which could be causing issues to your system or conflicts with other apps/software.
