The Lightblade: Is it a "me" thing?
So, I'm trying to be as clear minded here as possible and took a break from D2 before writing this, to see if it was purely just frustration. However I can't seem to shake this feeling that the final boss encounter for the Lightblade strike (incidentally the playlist strike for GG) is just. Obnoxious, at least in the higher difficulties. Constant Knight spam, which barrage you no matter where you run with explosive shots, a lack of cover from a boss that chases you (at times unavoidably fast, his sprint is insane), his incredible one shot potential as well as an insanely powerful followup barrage of missiles, should his planet-sized axe not one shot you or slam you into a wall. Couple this with pretty annoying and dare I say unnecessary immune phases, Champion spam, and am I wrong to think this is extremely unfun? It's not a terrible strike, but, I never look forward to the final boss. Thought? Am I just salty and bad?

There is a trick to the boss fight, needs a great team coordination and lot of practice. Basically one guy just taking the boss jumping from the side to the middle platform, keeping the boss in a loop while the others take care of adds and champs.
What I don't like in the GM version is the swap section, constant screeb and raider spawn is just annoying. I mean it can be easy too if you got a perma invis hunter buddy with you.

Champion spam isnt as bad as the badly executed modifiers and conditions i have bend my weapon builds into counter them. The legendary witch queen approach seems alot better of build and its scaling/effects, this said I prefer the old NFC vs the current state of GM's and "so-called super modifier try-hard dungeons".

The nightfall card system made more since then dumbed-down BS, now some of modifiers were total trash/stupid(if you think champions are bad, you never played black out/airborne). Airborne has been removed but black out remains, these are both instant one shots that killed you.

I like light blade, but its personal and I enjoy "the corrupted" as well and that historically is near the worse NF and hardest in the game. All it is your not used his stuff, but he annoying an enemy and you can't hit by some BS AOE then die or have dodge or avoid it.

Thank you. I agree with this, and can see how my inexperience with the strike would affect my gameplay. Maybe the recent negative criticism of the Nightfall system is more indicative of a broader approach Bungie should take. Maybe rework a few of the major things that makes the High Tier content, High Tier.

I feel this! Sometimes my runs with matchmaking go extremely smoothly, as I run perma-invis myself. But most of the time, no matter how hard we crush the rest of the strike, the final encounter kicks everyones ass, myself included.

My first successful GM run was with 3 invisible hunters and it was much easier than trying with other classes. And hunters is my 3rd class, I'm not really good with it. Lucient finisher is a must, taking turns with moebius on champs and lightbearers.
