returning player: did they remove focusing engrams?

so far in the week or so ive been back ive yet to see a place to focus umbral engrams like worldly weapons, high tier armor or other common umbral modifiers from the past year. all i see are three options at the helm for low tier seasonal gear, low tier world drop armor. and dreaming city weapons as an option.

also do i seriously have to do the seasonal playlist 9 times to get enough risen umbral energy to get one weapon to attune 3 to 5 times over for each weapon or pray to the random number god that i get one of these weapons for crafting recipe progress?

yes but what im asking is if they removed focusing engrams. like i said at the helms wartable all i see are 3 options. those being worldly armor, dreaming city weapons and a seasonal engram for weapons/armor. i see no options to focus the engrams into specific gear types like auto rifles, high tier armor, worldly weapons and so on.

That's all there is at the moment. It'll probably be expanded as we move into the other seasons of Y5.

The focusing options from Y4 are gone.

well that blows. so in regards to high tier armor what are my options for getting decent drops? i know raids drop pretty decently in the 60ish range but atm im still lock out of high tier content since im only at 1520 and i whole heatedly despise the pvp.

Any "Powerful" or "Pinnacle" weekly quests should have at least a chance for higher stat armor. The seasonal activity should offer a chance at higher stat pieces too. I'm not saying they're all going to be high rolls, but the odds are better than random drops at least. Look for the gold coin indicators on the Destinations screen.

Also be aware, you can equip a mod on your Ghost's shell that will increase your odds of getting a high roll in any given stat you're looking for. There's one for each stat.

You can try to farm moon dungeon for high stat armor.

If you have the season and the correct upgrade on the wartable the armor focusing drops with insanely high stat totals as long as you have a ghost mod equipped. I've gotten some insane rolls this very little effort this way. Be warned that this is speculated to be a bug (though I'm not sure if it is confirmed) since the perk on the wartable says that you're only suppose to get these high stat drops once a week. Either way, that's one super easy way to get high stat armor drops.
