do i need to unlock europa to finish witch queen main questline

i can't do the mission "the communion" because its in europa and its locked behind an xp wall

Just do some bounties and claim them, or do some vanguard strikes, you should get enough exp to unlock rest of destinations. After that you gonna get introduction mission for Europa.

It's not about DLC, this person clearly just started playing the game. You don't need BL to unlock Europa.

Defeat them as usual, their ghost should drop and use your finisher on them to kill them.
