Anything that could be done legally against vaulting?
I know there are a lot of discussions around this since vaulting exists, but apart from 'I just stopped playing', 'They are a money grabbing bunch', 'It is what it is', has anyone actually looked into this seriously? Is there anything mentioned in the TOS?

Personally, I would not mind a crowded map and/or 150GB of content. What I feel like is at this point it is false advertisement since you don't really buy the DLC, but rent it.
If there is a new player who buys the game and a DLC, it does not state 'Oh btw, you only rent this piece of content for X years, after that it is gone'. It is just unacceptable, the service itself is still live, it is not like shutting it down completely and then you not being able to use the service.

Personally I could not finish the Curse of Osiris and I want to have the Sagira ghost. I decided now that I want it, which was my choice and I should be able to go to the content I paid for and not rented, whenever I want to.

That's from a attorny. - "Like it or not, the Destiny Content Vault (DCV) is back and badder than ever. Did you enjoy playing Forsaken, hunting barons, and winding your way through the Tangled Shore? Well too bad, Bungie's got new stuff to sell you."

Destiny's Defunct Design - Can Bungie REALLY "Vault" Your Stuff?

It was originally linked (here) by Rage.

This is the same like shutting down server for a MP game. So no, nothing you or anyone else can do against it.

No it's not, as much I don't like DCV idea, it would probably happen anyway if Activision stuck to 10 year plan for D1. I personally just moved on, since I didn't cared much for vaulted activities.

You signed their TOS before playing so no, there isn't much you can do.. You can technically start a lawsuit/court case but good luck with that.

If Activision was still in charge, we'd be playing Destiny 3 now, and nothing before Beyond Light would be playable. And there's a good chance that Lightfall would be the start of Destiny 4.

Everything before Beyond Light would be playable. It would be called Destiny 2.

You really should read an EULA for any game (not just Destiny) one of these days. If you did then you'd know that you do not own the game, you do not own any of the content of said game, publisher may change and or remove any and or all content at any time. You paid for a licence to access the game. If you don't like this, blame Microsoft, Sony, platform exclusivity, and DMCA laws passed over 20 years ago.
