Race specific mods one time use?

I believe the old Fallen and Taken mod's were either removed or made to be worthless now.

They completely removed the Fallen and Hive mods from Scourge and Crown respectively. You can still get some race-specific mods from raids, but they only work while you are within the raid itself - so Taken Armaments while in Last Wish, and you also need an armour piece from the raid, to fit the raid mods.

Taken Spec, the only weapon mod, will work on Taken anywhere in the game. it is not locked to Last Wish.

What do you do for solo dungeons now though, if the damage reduction mods were sunset but the dungeons weren't nerfed to compensate?

Idk, were they really mandatory? There are still elemental resists, well mods, etc
They were removed 18 months ago, and people are still doing solo runs of existing dungeons.

Just use void armor with well mods, void has well of tenacity that gives you like 40/50% damage reduction upon picking up a well.

I will keep my eye out for this mod, google search says ada has not sold it since early last expansion though.
