Clans are worthless....
I don't see the point of Clans because you only get invites to fill the roster then get completely ignored. Been in 10 or so different clans only to still have to solo what I can and never do anything else. Watch people in your clan do raids and dungeons over and over again and get completely ignored when you ask if you can ever join one. You want this gun from this Raid or Dungeon?? HAHAHA nope not one invite since day 1. Spend hours and hours seeking for a guided game and nothing. Learn that if you can't solo it you're not ever going to get to do it. Make your own clan and say ♥♥♥♥ it you play by yourself anyways.

Probably should join clans from players you actually know in game rather than some random invite. Could always go onto any of the clan recruitment forms with on steam on on Bungie's website. That being said, you don't really need a clan to do anything in the game beside the clan night triumph so it's probably easier to just LFG than expecting some random clan to give you a hand.

I don't have any friends that play Destiny 2. They only play racing games. How do you think I been through 10 clans? I used the website and gave up. You get in and then ignored unless your part of the "group" that they do stuff with. No one wants to take you to raids or dungeons and teach you how to do them. So unless you're part of the "group" you never get to learn other then watching videos but that only gets you so far solo. I have tried to solo raids and dungeons to only spend hours getting killed over and over again because it's rather easy to get overwhelmed by mobs when you are alone. Tired of trying to find people to have fun with. I made my own clan, it has 1 member....me. I will just continue to do what I can solo and never do the rest or get the "cool" guns. Hell I been stuck trying to get Vox obscura since it came out. I keep running out of time so I will either one day complete it or just say screw it and never complete it. That's just the way it is for some of us. Just for the record the last clan I was in had 80 members and not one ever responded or invited me to do anything. Clans are formed around groups of players that only play together and the rest of their members are just to raise that clan XP nothing else.

Sounds like your not joining the right clans. My clan is fairly active and does things all the time(weekly raids etc). There are always going to be "groups" in every clan but that's just regular players who have played together a while and probably at one point, also a solo player.

i mainly join the clan for that weekly pinnacle and if lucky, some random engrams if those clanmates actually do sth

Last clan I was in had over 80 members and at least 40 active players. I keep running out of time in Vox but when I asked for help I got ignored. Only reason I have the 30th anniversary weapon is some random person invited me to it. Otherwise if I can't solo it I don't have it. Sucks but I guess that's the way it is.

Did you try this?
https://steamcommunity.com/app/1085660/discussions/2/
At least there you can discuss how the clan operates and see if they are new member friendly.

I don't know much about this, but I do see that your profile is pvt. Maybe if other players knew what you played, or what some of your achievements were, you would have more contact.

There was a time that you had to hide your profile on Steam because of hackers, I never changed it back after they fixed it.

"I have had a bad experience with clans so Im making an ignorant blanket statement as a way to channel my rage." is all I heard.

Ya, I've been on Steam for 14 years, never had a private profile, never been "hacked".. So what lies are you telling and why?

Why is eveyone so uptight about private accounts?

He claimed it is private because there was a time you had to make it private or you would be hacked, to which I replied that I have been on Steam for 14 years and never had my account hacked or made my profile private, which would indicate that he is lying about his reasons for making it private. I don't care if someone has a private profile or not but when you say it's private for a reason that isn't true, then I would suspect the actual reason is something nefarious.

Because a lot of them are usually trying to hide something rather than be a private account for actual privacy's sake.

the fact that you were not hacked with your account does not mean that the OP (original poster)'s argument is a 'lie.' just because your non-private account was never hacked does not negate his argument. You are taking your experience and applying it to every and all cases. That's like saying "I've lived in NYC for 30 years and was never mugged, so anyone who says people are mugged in NYC must be lying." That is simply untrue
