Its a huge difference.
Crit Goldengun is in normal PVE still great DPS but have the weakest DMG in Gambit.. just as an Example
also known as
"pay for dlc so you can get the loot from that content"
Gjallarhorn isn't even the top DPS gun in the game. On its own it's actually worse than a normal legendary rocket launcher. The power of gjallarhorn is that it powers your fireteam's rockets. So as long as someone on your fireteam has gjallarhorn, and you're standing near them, you gain the effects.
If you used Gjallarhorn, but none of your teammates were using rockets, you'd actually be a hindrance to your team. The ONLY advantages of gjally in gambit are syncing up with your team and all using rockets for DPS, or the tracking for invaders, which was nerfed recently.
Please stop throwing terms around like "pay to win" when you obviously don't know what you're talking about.
This isn't true, no idea where you got that from. For hunters, the multi-tether is currently the strongest pve burst damage super in the entire game, even more than golden gun with celestial knighthawk. If something feels like it's "hitting like a wet noodle" it's because you're trying to DPS when you have no primevil slayer stacks. Gambit has strict damage scaling, and you get around that by killing the primevils multiple times to stack the buff. EVERYTHING in gambit does less damage than they would in PvE, because the enemies have less health. But how each gun and ability compares to eachother is still the same, so ANYTHING that is good in PvE will also be good in the PvE side of gambit.
Sleeper Simulant, Izinagi + auto reloading rocket, Reeds Regret, Ascendancy is decent, you could use divinity and buff your teammate's damage, even legendary fusions with vorpal weapon are pretty good.
Play freelance or get a team.
"Oh damn the new parasite GL is really good, but it's LOCKED behind the witch queen! Pay to win!"
"Oh damn.. the Divinity allows for a 30% weapon buff for all of your teammates, but it's LOCKED behind the Garden of Salvation raid from shadowkeep!! Pay to win!!"
Do you see how stupid this argument is? Like.. it's how DLC works. It's how MMOs work.
You have to pay for the dungeon to get the loot. Destiny 2 isn't a full free to play experience, you need to buy the expansions to get the latest loot, and only some seasonal stuff is free.
Not to mention that, again, the gjallarhorn IS NOT top-tier on its own, as I have stated. Do you actually think it's the highest DPS in the game? Y'all are making fun of me for my 2K hours in the game, but you don't think to listen to the person who undeniably knows more about the game, and has more experience?
(By the way, I'm actually even more of a degenerate than that, I have almost 4 thousand hours total in the destiny franchise across multiple platforms.)
Like yeah I need to touch grass blah blah but you're still in the wrong and fixating on the gjallarhorn like it's the best gun in the entire game is gonna make the game hell for you. It's not the highest DPS in the game, and never was. It is ONLY good for powering up your teammate's rockets. It fulfills a similar purpose to divinity, actually. You don't need to own it to gain the effects of it.
Sleeper does better DPS than Gjallarhorn.
Reeds Regret does better DPS than Gjallarhorn.
The Palmyra-B does better DPS when paired with lasting impression or Explosive light
Gjallarhorn is only better than these when you have a team of people who ALL have legendary rockets. Those wolf-pack rounds make up for the low DPS of Gjallarhorn.
This isn't D1 Gjallarhorn. It is ONLY GOOD in that situation. It is not a good solo-DPS option.
Therefore, not pay to win.
Again, anything good in PvE is also good in the PvE side of Gambit. They don't selectively make some guns do less damage to bosses ONLY in Gambit, they all have the exact same damage scaling modifier. Learn how the game works or quit talking ♥♥♥♥.
You want some actual tips to increase your DPS? Elemental Wells paired up with Font of Might, and match your weapon's type with your subclass. That will make any gun hit like a truck.
i dont see any Vac ban. U blind toxic dawg :)
Freelancer is 90% filled with this broken op pay2win Gun.
Would be better if bungo disable pay2win ♥♥♥♥ in Gambit
And instead of Trashtalk and Crying, maybe help me and Tell me GOOD DPS Alternatives that are NOT behind an pay2win Wall :*
Oh and i forgot.. You only can get Gjallahorn when you own the 25€ DLC. So it is Pay2win. TOP DPS Gun behind an Paywall ^-^
But you still need to earn them, so it's not pay2win by definition. Also Sleeper is this really good on DPS if I remember correctly is not that big of a difference, just find any DPS spreadsheet.
Pay to win is purchasing something to give you a direct advantage. This is paying for a DLC that has some content, and a piece of the content happens to be pretty good in the current meta.
Destiny is not a normal F2P game. You need the DLCs if you want the majority of the latest content. What you're against are DLCs in general in this case, not pay to win.
It's not top DPS and is NEVER needed to beat anything. It's good, but it's not the best, and is never a requirement to win. If you think your performance in gambit is bad because you don't have gjallarhorn, I got some news for you.
You're bad at Gambit, get better. Learn how to play ^-^
What is your definition of pay to win?? Do you mean guns that are available for free in the base game? The 30th anniversary pack is DLC just like Forsaken, Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, and Witch Queen.
If you think the 30th anniversary pack is pay to win, then ALL of those expansions are too.
