Omnioculus is hands down one of the best exotics for hunters to use.
It's got so much going for it, Double smokebombs on all void subclasses.
Massive damage resist while invisible.
Heart of the pack with the invisibility on allies.
The synergy with grenade damage and getting more smokebombs, Allowing grenades to be almost endlessly spammed in warlock wells.

I'm tellin ya, this thing is busted, It's hands down one of the best PVE hunter exotics in the game, So much neutral game and active ability boosting, Double invisibility smokebombs that can be regained with grenade damage is nothing to scoff at, Especially in solo content, Where things can be easily damage with grenades and more invisibility on you.

I prefer Graviton Forfeit, with 100 str you have 100% invis up time. Makes it easy to damage, invis, reload, regen, damage, invis, reload, regen... Forever. I think DR while invis is pointless, why are you taking damage while you're invis?! Add to this some high Resilience and you are basically immortal in PVE content.

Frostees with 100 mobility is my go to.

With marksmen dodge? Gamblers dodge is good, but really only if you can't get 100 str or you need a three invis every 22s.

Even after the nerf, the problem of Strength (29s at T10) is that there's Gambler with 18s at Tier 10. There's also grenade-melee synergy that allows to regen abilities fast even at tier 1. I find Discipline more valuable. sInce both Graviton and Omni have % melee regen with Gambler being a thing.

Omni gives 50% melee per ally, so it's better in team content. It allows to gain x3 Pack buff quickly and that reload speed is enough to not use Marksman. 50% DR is far from useless in harder activities, because enemies still track your invis for a few seconds and AOE/projectiles still can hit you, e.g. when you used invis under fire and during or right after a res.

Graviton gives bonuses while invisible and you don't do damage while invisible. It regens 4-9%/s depending on amount of enemies and since it's % based, strength can be good only when there're no enemies/allies around or no way to damage enemies with a grenade.

There is also times where enemies will continue to shoot at corpses and allies, and AOE damage can still get you, I've saved many lives by throwing down an omni smoke right on someone, It's super super nice having a really potent team ability like that for hunters, Combine it with lumina, and you're a really valuable asset in big team play.

I guess this boils down to whether or not you are doing solo content (vs team content). I do a lot of solo flawless so rezing is not a concern. But, point taken.
Edit: Graviton's also gives melee while invis so it ends up being much less then 29s.
