(Also, the objectives I had this time did specifically say "Stasis super kills". Maybe it's supposed to count any otherwise, but it doesn't seem to do so based on my attempts. Either bugged or intended, but who knows really)
The game considers direct hits only as super damage and most stasis supers kill with shatter damage, so technically it works fine. I don't think they have a work-around for this, outside of changing to any super kills
In this case, it was referring to the Strikes version, BUT the same is true for the gambit version. Only the direct ice punch left click for Behemoth's super counts as a kill, the shatters do not (for some reason).
Some pretty cruddy coding, honestly. Here's hoping that whatever the next power we get is, it's not given the same issues, eh?
It'd be so much better that way. I really, genuinely hope they've taken complaints and feedback like this in mind when they do void 3.0, because if it's that same time-gated crap to get fragments and just isn't fun to grind out stupid or class specific hard objectives (Void melee ability kills for hunters, anyone?), then it really just won't be enjoyable at all.
Another nice change would be not locking you into a specific game mode (crucible, strikes, gambit) in order to make your progress. If I could just wander the open world and do stuff at my own pace instead of focusing hard on it, that'd be sooo much nicer.
