Do I really need to do PvP? I SUUUCK at PvP!!

I'm the guy you don't want on your team, 100% of the time.

Any sort of PvP I'm gonna' suck at. I sucked at WoW PvP, I sucked at Halo, I even suck at Hearthstone.

Am I reading the quest text right? I'm trying to get through the Vanilla game (I'm new), but step TWO is "Kill fifty human players" and so I guess I'm not finishing the campaign, now.

Trust me, it's in both of our best interests that I don't do PvP.

Im that guy too but sometimes pvp isn't that bad. Team kill counts for certain quest, you might be able to finish that with team kills. Try it :D ( I normally wait until momentum control is the weekly pvp game mode to do all my pvp. Everyone gets 1-2 shot :) )

I don't pvp cause I hate pvp, I find nothing more tedious than the whole pvp rigmarole and get no pleasure from even the smallest involvement. But I do fine in Destiny 2 just enjoying the game without major pvp involvement.
I have done a few Gambit runs just for triumphs and a couple of items and will probably dip in again at some point for the same reason but no rush.
I may even dip my toes into a little Trials of Osiris at some point, just to take alook and maybe pick up a Triumph, who knows.
I say again, I enjoy D2 and play a lot. I do not feel at all put out that there are things I cannot get because it requires pvp activities.
I have watched streams of pvp runs and tips and walkthroughs and nothing at all has made me think "Oh that looks cool, I wanna do that." All that happens is I think oh yeah, I could be ingame playing instead of watching this tedious activity.
Grats to everyone who loves pvp and has great stuff cos the "Git Gudded", I am happy that you have an outlet you love and that rewards you with unique cool gear but....pvp is a dull and tedious straitjacket for me.

To reiterate...you don't need to pvp in Destiny 2.

Sounds like an Exotic Catalyst quest; if it's for Lorentz Driver, getting far enough into the paid track of the Season Pass will quadruple your progress, so you only need 13 kills instead of 50. Otherwise,

this is good advice since getting kills is easier, such as with the last Exotic Bow which is absolutely excruciating to get the 50 kills otherwise. Just try and find a mode you can enjoy and go from there; I'm kind of crap but I'm decent when it comes to Elimination since it's more strategic instead of running around like it's CoD with space magic. :P

I too really dont understand PvP in this game, my weapons simply do not do damage enough, they just keeps jumping around and jet boosting and covering, while i get KABAAAM 1-2 shots dead instantly...

I guess i just need to find the right weapon.

And to be fair, PvP in this game is rather bland and boring.

I like how you can get Stasis Aspects from Exo Stranger, you can choose what activity to do (pve or pvp).
It would be great to have this mechanics for weapon catalysts.

To be honest Destiny 2 pvp would be ok if it weren't for the lack of SBMM matchmaking. They just throw all skill levels together which usually causes matches to be over even before the began. I just stay out of pvp if I can
