Scout rifles
Is it just me or are scout rifles with explosive payload doing terrible damage? ( If I missed something in an update tell me)

explosive adds no damage boost, it divides damage dealt however over all damage will remain the same. It however has 4 properties that add benefit.
~Explosive payload is not subject to damage fall off.
~Increases the aim assist cone of what is considered critical and non-critical damage(example: shoot a buddy in the belt in a private match with sunshot and watch its still count as a crit)
~increased flinch, this is because the game is counting 2 sources of damage thus compouding flinch. However is not to be confused with high cal rounds which increase flinch intrinsicly( An explosive or timed payload high cal weapon would then do some crazy flinch)
~AoE damage, aka you can shoot the ground and hit an ememy behind cover.

scout rilfes deal terrible damage due to too low rpm per damage anyway

you'll never get a kill with 5 apes running smgs on your team

I like using them in solo content, but ... yeah... kinda lack-luster in multi-player.
Try using Jade rabbit in Gambit. That ♥♥♥♥ is so OP. I destroy all 4 players regularly. Also MIda multi tool is really good in pvp. I like them!

I'm talking about a severe lack of damage. example would be I was farming the hero nightfall during that vanguard points glitch. A scout without explosive was doing around 3.5k per headshot. the explosive payload one was doing around 503 base damage with 300 explosive damage. I know they dont do as much precision damage but this is way below what it should be. This is in PVE, I dont play PVP.

Last season explosive payload was fine for PVE this season it does almost no damage. Having to shoot a psion 5-6 times in the chest at 10 meters shouldnt be a thing in low level PVE.

Scouts have needed a damage buff for so long. So have auto rifles. Weak sauce both of them.

Nightwatch is actually the only legendary scout I enjoy using lol

Explosive rounds, rapid hit, full bore and accurized rounds with a range MW, absolutely slaps.
