is europa locked behind a paywall?

it doesn't pop up with a "get it now" button like stuff that requires a purchase but it's got no landing sites showing on my map and i can't find the quest to get me there.

i'm trying to do the armor synthesis intro quest but i can't find a way to get to europa in order to do it.

I didn't have a point. I was telling them which expansion Europa was from, because if they have absolutely no way of landing on the planet, that's the only thing I could think of.

yea i've completed the intro quest.
i haven't done the control or gambit quests yet though.

is there supposed to be some sort of campaign button or something on the map to start that quest string i'm supposed to go through to actually get there?

If you completed New Light: A Guardian Rises, and have visited the Tower and talked to (at least) Zavala .... AND have a ship equipped, you should be able to go to Europa.

The Beyond Light questline starts the first time you land on Europa:
Escape, Directory, Destinations, Europa ... you should then see a down pointing triangle with a little sparkly halo around it, click on that and hit Launch. That should take you to Europa and you should get the intro quest to rescue Variks regardless of whether you own Beyond Light or not.

Edit: You MAY need to mouse downwards towards the bottom of the Europa map, the map centers on the location you need AFTER you finish the intro quest, but the intro quest (as I recall) starts at the bottom of the map, so ... move the mouse around on the Europa map screen if you don't see the down triangle right away.

Once you've done the intro quest, if you wish to progress, and get further quests from either Variks or the Exo-Stranger you will need to purchase Beyond Light.

If you can't do that, then you still need to complete some part of New Light: A Guardian Rises. Escape, Directory, Quests, look through what you have over on the left side of the screen.

all i've got left in my quests for new light is the control and gambit stuff
completed the intro quest on 3 characters now, even did all the milestone stuff on one of them just to make sure.
looked all over the europa map... no landing zone to be seen... seems my game is bugged.

in all the trouble and net searching i've gone through looking to find how to get to europa, i did find one other person posting about this same issue within the past couple of weeks.

don't know that it'll help but i'm trying to validate the game files now... =/

finally found a solution to the issue. the "darkness's doorstep" campaign quest showed up the past portion of the quest archive terminal

not sure if it defaulted to having abandoned the quest on all of my characters or what but i can actually use that to get to europa now and since i looked at it in the terminal it actually shows up on the europa map now when it wasn't just a few minutes ago.

Yeah this is messed up completely, I spent a few hours trying to find the loose end and it ended up in the quest terminal that they stuck in a corner nobody would find it and it only showed there AFTER I went to the planet via the Witch Queen questline and left again. Must have triggered something to put it in the terminal. This game is just a mess with all this content being removed and moved around, thanks for the tip though.
