new character question for witch queen

Can i start a new character at the beginning of witch queen content or will they start all the back and i will have to go through the dlcs i have first ?

You can do campaigns in any order. I'm not sure whether you can skip the New Light campaign on new characters though

All the Expansions are independent of each other, it doesn't matter which order you play them in, or even if you play any particular expansion at all.

You can have 3 characters total. If you don't have 3 already, you can make more. If you're at three already and you want a "new" one, then you have to delete an old one (I'm not sure I'd recommend doing that).

The best policy is to have one of each class.

DLC's are any order. A new character will still have the New Light experience to go through before they start DLCs. If you are already at 3 characters and have Stasis unlocked I don't recommend deleting a character as you'd have to play the Beyond Light campaign to unlock it for that character again.

i reset my warlock a few weeks back because I wanted to get the curated roll of the Night Watch scout rifle for the next season. But I forgot about needing to unlock stasis again. it was painful doing the story a 4th time (I mean, it was painful doing it a 2nd and 3rd time lol)

No Beyond Light is not being made "Free" when Witch Queen launches.

It may get integrated in to the "Free To Play" Content in about a year or 2 maybe more but currently from what I have seen it will still be a "Paid For Expansion" once Witch Queen Launches.

I still haven't finished it for my Warlock (who's my least played character). So, I've only done it about 2 and a half times.

The one thing that tempts me, is the chance to re-customize my characters, I'd kind of like a chance to do that. Not enough to re-do the Stasis questline though.

Release was November 10, 2020 and it is February 2022 so that makes it 2 years and 4 months. Its one think to lock people out of a Raid or Dungeon (which is fine) but quite another to lock out core gameplay system that is stasis. Bungie knows what it is doing of course.
