While I cannot say how the Traveler explicitly improved technology, it was in part due to paracausality. Its terraformation of the planets and moons in our solar system, and improvement in the quality of human life, allowed humanity to rapidly grow as a species. It probably gave us the seeds to figure it out on our own and from there we boomed.

The Cabal are implied to reproduce sexually, as there is a lore card from somewhere mentioning that Calus personally castrated the Consul. The Cabal we fight in game though are heavily implied to be cloned (at least the ones on the Leviathan were confirmed so).

It's very much possible that it influenced our technology because Hawkmoon and its related exotic ship from last season exist. We don't know to what extent however.
It should be noted that the Golden Age occurred shortly after the discovery of the Traveler on Mars. Destiny 1 has a very good introductory scene that pretty much told that story. The Golden Age led to the advancement of technology, among other events.

So, it's implied that the technology of jumpships and Sparrows came shortly after that time period, but there's no lore entries (that I've seen) that gives you a detailed timeline of that.

After the Darkness encroached the system, the Traveler created the Ghosts and Guardians followed after that.

I always wondered how many years it had actually been since the collapse and how long ago the golden age really was. I forget if it was ever actually confirmed.
For all your lore needs look up My Name is Byf on youtube.

I can’t recall seeing anything in particular that pins down the timeline between the Golden Age and the Collapse. It’s suspected to be hundreds of years, but I’ve never seen anything lore-based to pin it.

I believe the Golden Age is theorized to be a few hundred years long; no concrete numbers are known to my knowledge. There are excerpts that imply that at least 400 years have passed since the beginning of the Dark Age to now, but I do not know where this is mentioned.

One thing that was definitely mentioned was that the Exodus Black (launched around the late golden age, as it was able to carry SIVA) crashed around 500 years before the Red War (from Failsafe's comment, 'My crew used to give me gifts. But they've been dead for five hundred years.')

Makes you wonder just how old certain characters are. Like Variks and Eramis, both direct witnesses of the Whirlwind, which (logicially!) predates humanity's golden age. I can't quite find a source for it but I think it's the same for Ghaul and Caiatl, as Ghaul's coup (with Caiatl as a co-conspirator) also happened before the golden age began.

It's also interesting that Eramis can move around quite well despite easily being several hundred years old, which implies that she isn't near the end of her natural lifespan. I'm curious if this is due to the Traveler's former influence, or if they were capable of living this long prior.

Yeah that's a valid point. We know the traveller's influence extended mankind's lifespan, and so could well have done the same to the Eliksni. We don't even know how long their typical lifespan is, let alone what they consider to be elderly.

https://www.ishtar-collective.net/ has all of lore and has simplified timeline.
In the Book: Your Friend, Micah Abram a kid notices that once humans used to live 100 years or less, while now they live 300 years or more, impling (implying? sorry for broken English) that at least 2/3 generations have passed since the beginning of the golden age with humans living that long, in the book the Traveller is on Io, wich is his final destination before the collapse, considering this, Failsafe and the fact that the Traveller appeard in 2014 and the gloden age started soon after we can assume that in destiny we are around 3500 a.C.
