Xur's exotic cipher quest disappear

It's been 4 weeks since I can't get the cipher quest from Xur, I dont have the quest on any of my characters and I dont have any cipher on any of my characters. This start to happen when I pick up the quest from my titan, but then I discard the quest because my main is a hunter therefore I can finish the quest asap, but there is no quest available from that week and so on. Now I can't find the quest from any of my characters. Any way to fix this?

Mine just now disappeared as well. I finished Xenology on Wednesday, I turned it in just now which is Friday.
No cipher in inventory, vault or postmaster and I cannot get another Xenology quest.

Why is this game so confusing!!!!!!!!!!

If you didn't finish the cipher and go to xur to collect it on the same weekend(friday-tuesday), it will count to next week. Which means you wont get a new mission if you turn in late.
BTW they fixed the glitch i mentioned before, only took them 9 months, they must have some really good programmer.

xenology quest and its progression is shared between all characters. You didnt need to discard it. I think discarding it basically bugged it for you.
The only solution that might work for you is to delete and create a new character.

They already fixed this issue, only took them 9 months.
