Assuming you are using a mouse, you don't have aim assist, that is only for controllers. Everyone has bullet magnetism, yes there is a difference, and multiple mechanics affect it so it can't just be switched off.

Bullet magnetism is aim assist. Controllers just get reticle stickiness.

Don't forget the reticle-moving thing that controllers get when aiming near an enemy... I'm guessing it's related to stickiness but is not exactly the same. (I know some pvp folk who use it to find out when someone is just on the other side of a corner.)

Aim Assist is the controller following someone. Bullet Magnetism is if you're off a bit it will literally curve to them or count as a hit.

This game has an absurd amount of Aim Assist for controllers.

It's all about being meta if you're playing PvP.

Both are aim assist. Bullet magnetism is literally affected by the hidden aim assist stat on every weapon

No, two different things that add up. MnK do not get aim assist. They do get bullet magnetism. They are different.

You are right about the stat though. The higher the aim assist, which controller players get, the higher the bullet magnetism for both inputs.

Bullet magnetism is a form of aim assist. It assists you in hitting your target, which is exactly what aim assist is

Using a mouse is also aim assist then, because it's easier to hit targets with a mouse over a controller :D
just dump few of those aim assisting helmet mods and see if it changes

It's also easier to go on a bike pedaling with your foots, that doesnt mean you should get rockets to boost you just because you decided to pedal with your freaking hands
