Independent Study Quest
Is there any way to do this quest slightly easy for non-pvp player?

Most parts can be completed without touching PvP. You have to play PvP for one step, and that is just a grind. It requires many kills with Void weapons and/or hand cannons.

Just grab an IKELOS hand cannon which fits both void and hand cannon requirements and go aim down a corridoor or two in Crucible and eventually you'll pew pew a few people.

Crucible may be hard for some but getting a few kills is 100% not. Just a but grindier.

Kindled Orchid is also a good option, obtainable from Black Armory Hand Cannon Frame. Regarding speeding up the progress, try to grind it out during an Iron Banner. I believe it gives it bonus progress just like Competitive.
