I think the point is that for two season passes you can get a decent new game while season passes dont really provide a lot of content so they seem expensive for what they offer. Since im just on the starting line in this game I could be wrong here but season passes only have time limited content, when the next season comes the previous season pass is worthless, right?
What im getting at is that sure, $10 isnt a lot of money for extra content to a game you like, most hobbies costs money but if said content will be removed and you cant or wont play the game a lot then $10 is a lot of money for that extra content.
Im playing with some friends and if we end up sticking with the game im sure we will buy expansions and such but even at that point im skeptical we will every be able to justify buying a season pass, doesnt seem like we will get much from it even if its 'only' $10 to buy them each time.
If you're just playing the game with friends every once in a while then you probably don't need the season pass. You get access to a few raids for free and you could always get Forsaken or Shadowkeep to permanently increase the number of activities that you access to.
The season passes are intended to give the people who play the game consistently something to do all year round. If they left all of these little activities like vex offensive and the sundial in forever, the game would pretty quickly become a bloated mess.
Stupid logic like "its just the price of a burger" is why we have tihs like paid mods from bethesda, $4 skins on games like Marvel Heroes, or... well damn, EA in general.
Time for idiots like you to grasp economic responsibility. John Riciotelli, former CEO of EA, stated that one day, they will be able to charge gamers .10 for a clip of ammo, in a FPS, and they will pay it, because gamers are "price insensitive.... which is a nice way of saying financially irresponsible/stupid.
Congrats sir... you're the prime demographic of these greedy dirtbags.
Price per content.... a $60 AAA game, that took 40-100 people 4-7 years to make, equating to hundreds of thousands of cumulative work hours among the whole group... vs a new shiny weapon, or armor res-skin, that goes for $3-4 on their games DLC page, which only took 1 or 2 guys a DAY to make.
If I haven't hit the point out of the ballpark by now, you're gnickuf hopeless, and deserve to be bent over by these companies, and taken for everything you're worth.
So when/if we dont get put off feeling like 2nd tier citizen thanks to how season passes works and seeing countless 'stuff' we wont be able to get... finally we have stuck with the game and bought the DLC which afaik dont seem to have that much too them, what then?
Drop the game because the only new content is put on a timer and behind a paywall?
I mean as a new player, the game is already a bloated mess. Making the scroll bars able to scroll more or adding more pages you can flip through to view everything doesnt seem to be a bad compromise if it means we could pay for more content that stays available, we get more content, they get more money and the game gets more things to scroll or pages to flip through and we dont have to feel like we are missing out on all the new fancy stuff.. games like these are mostly about the new fancy stuff.
Im sure a lot of people with less time to spend on the game would want to be able to get said fancy stuff as well, they might even think its worth paying for.
Its okay to be poor. If you dont want the new content, no one gonna force you to pay for it. I'll pay to keep the game alive. You are welcome.
You are also avoiding the point by doing this
You wanna know why this is not acceptable? Because a non triple A company called Digital Extremes is continuing to provide tons of free content (that isnt limited time) in a free game that has been going on for more than 6 years. If DE can do this, then bungie can give players at least some content without asking them to fork over even more money
Cant contribute anything meaningful to the discussion so instead tries to act like the bigger man by saying that this discussion is petty
