Is Crucible and Iron Banner illegal?
Come on know Cruci and Iron Banner feels like an illegal underground fight club held by Lord Shaxx and Lord Saladin. Why are we fighting each other when there is war going on?

The City was caught unprepared and too many Guardians lacked battle experience, the Crucible teaches them to fight. The Iron Banner is a tournament to pay homage to the Iron Lords who were the Vanguard before the Vanguard

It's a thing set up and ran by the Drifter under the watchful eyes of Shin Malphur and The Vanguard, it's designed to hunt down evil guardians essetnially

designed to hunt down guardians who will go on the same path as dredgen yor while also allowing Guardians who didn't succumb to this darkness to use it as a tool much like we use Light as a tool

and before i forget, crucible is also a way to protect areas like vostok peaks and twilight gap. and iirc, the infinite forest maps were a way to also look out for the vex

Now I just imagine Fallen scouts sitting in a building looking at a bunch of guardians brutally murdering each other, and having serious second thoughts about continuing to bother us.

Drifter isn't necessarily bad. If anything, he's chaotic neutral. And Guardians killing each other is actually Crucible's thing. The reason Guardians are dying in Gambit is because they're careless and their ghosts are getting killed as they try to resurrect their Guardians.

I think it's an exploit of the respawn feature.

Since guardians cannot die, it made sense to let them fight each other to the death to gain actual combat experience instead of sending them inexperienced into real combat.

I am sure there was resistance to the idea at the start but it seems to be perfectly legal now.
The vanguard think it should be illigal. Its a lore thing.

That's what I think too.

That doesn't happen. A ghost being killed means its owner/partner dies for good. If Guardians kept getting cayded during Gambit, the Vanguard would have quickly put an end to it.

it did. i don't remember which lore tab it was but it happened in prime. they kept it quiet. it was an entry about drifter talking to this guardian who told him what had happened in gambit prime when they were testing out their new gambit armour sets. of all four of them, he was the only one to survive.

Ah, my bad then. I thought we were talking about what's normally happening when we play the thing and get owned. I dunno this entry but yeah, lore-wise, it makes sense.
