What to do with redeemable materials such as spinmetal leaves, helium filaments etc?

I have 7 different 'uncommon' stacks of items like this in my inventory and have hundreds of each but I have no idea where to redeem them.

Go to the spider or Banshee and exchange them for prisms and shards

[Yankee Dog]

Planetary materials are also used at Banshee-44 to purchase upgrade modules (plus enhancement cores/legendary shards/glimmer)

[Taniks the Abomination]

they are used to buy loads of differnt things from weapons and armour at vendors for that planet, to materials at the gunsmith and trading at spider for currency
