What is shared across all characters?

My question is what is really shared across all characters and can I switch gear from one to another, as well as exotics. Will it be easier to gear up other characters and make the whole process faster?

your weapons are usable by every character, your armor is not. its easier to level a character when you have high level guns, so ye it gets faster. Use DIM. google it, it allows you to move your weapons and armor from your vault to your characters and other stuff. works in your browser, dunno if there is a phone app for it.

I use it from my browser. Its really handy as you can move weapons from your vault to your character in the middle of activities etc

Everything can be shared between characters except for armor pieces. The highest power level weapons/armor do not need to be on your character or equipped to get more powerful gear to drop; the game will use the highest power level gear across all inventories (excluding armor from the different classes from the one you are currently playing) to determine what power level things drop at.

Kinda makes sense, but 80% of the loot is armor so no worries there. Will eventually get it all.

if you reach X level of light with 1 character the others will get loot at that level faster and you just can share weapons and cosmetics like ghosts ships ect..... not armor and you cant infuse for example a titan armor with a hunter one

I have a character power boost or whatever that is? Is that what you mean or?

yes your lower light-power level guardians have a "boost" until you reach the same power level of your main guardian or higher lvl guardian
