Honestly? They need to remove a few rolls, and add some others. For example, well spring would be a great perk on it, since the gun is mainly for PvE,

Perks they should add

- Wellspring,

- Rapid hit

- Redirection

Perks they should remove

- Snapshot

- Moving target

- Hip fire grip

- Wellspring,

- Rapid hit

- Redirection

It's not a mainly PvE weapon. If anything it is closer to PvP.

However, it's certainly usable in both so having a PvE perk or two in there wouldn't hurt.

Am I wrong? It's basically an austringer with in PvP, it's better for champions than guardians

The perk is Extremely limited in PvP, not only does it require you to get 6 charges of the perk to activate, you only have 8 (9 with cata) to do so. Why waste an exotic slot on something that limits my gameplay, and is one of the least forgiving perks.

Meanwhile in PvE, It is by FAR the best exotic handcannon, and probably the best kentic ammo exotic. Against stagger champions, it could probably kill them in 2 stagger's.

the whole design of the gun is made for pvp, that is kinda of inarguable, just look at the perks, all pvp perks, and the catalyst is of little use in pve.

it has it's quirks in pve but it is average at best, and doesn't outperform special ammo weapons in damage to majors/champions etc. why would I bother trying to stack paracausal shots to damage champions when I could just use any slug shotgun or sniper and have far, far higher dps output?

frankly, in any end game scenario, like high end nightfalls, there are literally zero reasons to use Hawkmoon over exotics like Izanagi's, Divinity, Xenophage, Anarchy, Lament, Witherhoard etc, and it is far from being the best kinetic ammo exotic in pve, it's not even better than Sunshot in pve...
