Outbreak in PvP

I really wish it could do bit more damage in the crucible.
So far I tried Cold Denial, Vig Wing and Stars and they do pretty good actually. I mean I am not sure if is true, but Outbreak have longer TKK than the ones above.

its due to the fact that it got nerfed into oblivion after it was released and its archetype isnt in that good of a spot right now for crucible

There is a very strong hc meta now. If you like pulses and want to be meta use crimson, its best of two worlds. Its like 120 with a crutch. 120 hits for 91 in the head while crimson divides this damage in to 3 bullets so if you miss with 120 you get 0 damage but when you miss with crimson 1 shot the other 2 will give you 60 crit. It is a very forgiving 120 disguised as 415 ( when you feel the bursts delays it is just like 120 )with insane stats on catalyst and when you kill with headshot you get your ammo back without reloading + heal. It is insane hc. Just got to diamond in quickplay by using only crimson. Also been 4700 in ranked with only crimson. Sadly couldnt hit that legend yet. If you like pulses but want to be meta than use crimson. Tried all the hc and still it is the best and easiest most forgiving hc there is.

Invest in crimson to get the feel of it and you will see how rewarding it is. But you must practice first. Dont get discouraged by few failures. It will be worth it at the end.

I just used Crimson with Catalyst with hand cannon mods.
We just get mercied and I di not scored a single kill.
I have no clue how this will pull me out of Bronze, but it feels like the worst Hand cannon ever.
I will try some 50 games with Crimson only and if I dont get better Bungie just loses me in PvP.

Like i said , you need to get feel of it. I demolish with it. The biggest upside of this weapon is gigantic flintch that you inflict on enemy when you land thos hits. I hit 90% of bursts. Been in situations where i was with health to be 1 shoted and i started hitting my opponent and flinched him so hard that he missed all shots and culdnt finish me off and i killed him and heald myself and got charded with light from precision kill and demolished another guys with 2 bursts from damage buff. I will be playing in 2 hours. Can invite you so we can play few games. Can boost you a bit and you can check my build, armor stats, mods to see how you should be geared for crucible.

I saw a vid on crimson. Apparently its awful on mouse+keyboard but is possibly the best HC option for controller players.

I managed to get some kills in my second game, but efficency is again below 1 and we get Mercied 100+ to 30....

I don't understand. 3 Mercy in a row, what is going on.
Only 4 kills with Crimson, overplayed by every Hawkmoon and Ace.

I think the guy is overselling crimson quite a bit.
But even then the biggest problem is the burst fire. Its near impossible to land a full burst while getting flinched constantly. And now that handcannons got a range buff and are well within pulse rifle range, pulses are pretty bad. (Crimson might be better on controller since flinch works differently there? idk)

The only pulse i got results with was stars in shadow with firmly planted, but only on 1 specific sightline where i could just outrange 120s and being outside of effective range myself.

And yeah, the high impact frames do have faster TTK but thats only if you land 2 full bursts. Only thing outbreak has is an opportunnity to recover the TTK faster than the high-impacts if you miss a few rounds, but its not a very noticeable difference.

Only way around pvp right now is either play meta or use something that is better than the meta in at least 1 aspect. Pulses are neither.

But given how hard Crucible is I doubt I will ever leave Bronze.
Anyway, I love Outbreak, but It lacks compared to my Vig Wing when I was kind of good at.
