decrypting the darkness bug help

im at step 3 or 4 i dont remember of the quest but basically it said i had to go to the umbral decoder to get the quest. but when i go to the umbral decoder, nothing is there. pls help

yeah i went into the HELM and the umbral decoder. there is no quest there

it dint give me any engram. it asked me to grab the quest (decrypting the darkness) from the decoder but there was nothing there. i also decoded all the umbral engrams i got and it still dint work

cant upgrade a engram cuz i havent completed the quest yet

I would say the quest is no longer available, because it was from the last season, but that´s just a guess.

You should be able to focus umbral engrams, at least for this season. If you cannot progress this quest, then you won´t get the hammer.w

It's because you do not have a Umbral Engram, play the game and get one then go and decode it and you should get that step done.

I had that issue previously where it said I needed to decrypt one but didn't have one, so had to wait till I had one.

You also iirc do not need to focus it for it to complete.

It's supposed to give you a free engram, but it doesn't. Just leave it for now, you'll get the engram soon enough from normal gameplay and then you can decode it.

i already decoded about like 7 umbral engrams? the quest did not progress :(
