Can you still do the Hawkmoon quest?

I read that it required season of the hunt, but I haven't played for the past few seasons. Is there still a way to trigger the quest, or can I no longer get the gun?

You have to have the seasonal content involve with it. Full stop. If you try to bypass it via joining a Fireteam, it wont even let them start the mission

Sadly to get the season of the hunt content you have to buy the deluxe edition of beyond light now

I can still do it as I started it before the end of the last season and not finished it :) Still I got some nice exotic weapons anyway.

Got the Jade Rabbit Scout Rifle, Arbalest, SkyBurners Oath (Nice Weapon) to name three.

BUT

If you have the Hawkmoon Quest already going, then you should still be able to do it, sadly those coming to the game after last season then it is as others said you have to buy the deluxe edition to get it.
