Newbie lost trying to find campaign missions
Hi there,

Can someone help me as I can't figure this out. My friend and I want to play some campaign missions, you know stuff with a story.

We got Forsaken DLC but I can't see how to start the campaign. online if you search google people say go to talk to Amanda, but she doesnt have any quests. Others say use the terminal but that has no missions in it either

How do I start the Forsaken campaign so me and my friend can play it?

There is a kiosk next to postmaster. You can pick up Forsaken quest there.

I think there is a big icon on the Tangled Shore map to start it?

Figured it out. I'd done the free first mission already in Tangled Shore, and I had to go back to the tower and talk to the Warlock, then I got the second mission from the actual DLC

Yeah, if you haven't done them, it's there.

All you have to do is go there and the mission starts.

What's the reason for this stripped down game?

According to Bungie: To reduce the load the game places on consoles, and also to allow them to update the core game engine. Also, variety from year to year.

Well at least with this Forsaken my friend and I have a clear story to follow. We got lost as to where the 'free' story goes (if it goes anywhere else) after that mission to find a hidden stash by jumping on a heap of platforms

Yeah i really wish they would separate the campaigns and let us download them in a similar fashion to Halo MCC.

Isn't it possible to buy the campaigns at least? Tbh I don't even know what the story driven campaigns are to play it/them solo?

Im really not sure myself. I thought i heard a while back that they are drip feeding us a campaigns every now and then.

As far as i know you cant play them from start to finish any more

I think you need to do some digging and see what the benefits of having all the dlc is or whether its better to stay free to play.

I personally have paid for 6 dlcs before the game did sun setting and i wont buy any more because they can now take away content at any time.

Im pretty sure they know this though so i think the season pass will maybe replace dlc in the future but dont quote me on it lol.
