You're supposed to do it with a fireteam.
Join the LFG Discord to find fireteams to team up with. You can find it here: https://discord.com/invite/d2pclfg
All the dungeons, nightfalls and raids should be played in a team since they are the harder feats.
There's loads of people on that discord tho, you will not have any problems whatsoever to find a team.
Feel free to add me aswell if you'd like. I can help you do stuff here and there. And help you on your way if you have any questions whatsoever.
Good luck =)
Oh don't worry, there can be plenty of that around.
As a general tip, power level is simply a percentage modifier of the damage enemies do and take. It does not determine the base stats of the enemy, or how hard an encounter is designed to be. Your power advantage against enemies is also capped, so that dungeon will be just as hard at 1200 at it was at 1070 (given all other factors are the same).
To an extent, you can just apply logic to guess what things are harder than others, even based on names alone. Dungeons, raids, and nightfalls are harder than free roam, story campaigns, or playlist strikes, for example. The hard content also tends to not have automatic matchmaking, so you can keep an eye out for that.
Also get some experience and gear. Get used to surviving as your class of choice, while also utilizing your weapons efficiently. Make sure you know the mechanics of the dungeon, because the game sure as hell won't explain them.
Prophecy definitely isn't new player oriented, not to mention running it solo. Which means you'll be better off finding a group of players to run it with.
Also be ready for more BS like this. The activities aren't really labeled by difficulty, so you might find yourself in the middle of an activity made for very experienced players.
And god help you if you decide to try out Trials.
watch a few youtube videos on it, there are many places you can stand and clear the area with out taking any damage. there are also a lot of short cuts around the place.
