No. You only have to redo some power leveling and pinnacle leveling. It's so that new activities will still be challenging and to promote people using new gear. Reaching the new powerful cap after a season passes is very easy, when a new full DLC like beyond light comes out it adds over 100 levels.
Every season has a new power cap to grind for. Bringing your current gear to the next power cap is the main reason to play d2 at all. What else is there to do in this game. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Didn't know the clan awarded that too, I've been in one for a couple days though, I'll look into it.
I think each encounter gives a poweful, then a pinnacle from the boss, someone correct me if I'm wrong
if you are at 1250 now and are starting to look at the pinnacle grind to get to 1260, I would say at this point of the season with less than 2 weeks left, there is little point in trying to get to 1260.
