power caps ?

i dont play regularly and usually just ignore the latest power cap s . but i have fell well behind and now find my armour and fav scout rifle locked at 1100 cap while everyone else is running round with 1300 gear and guns. is their anyway i can get the Call to serve scout rifle above 1100 cap ? i went to keiora ray and bought another same capped at 1100 . also my tangled web armour is same . anyway i can keep or replace the same to get back on the level again or do i have to look for new stuff :(

That's called "Sunsetting" you'll notice that about... half of the entire game's gear has been sunset, which kind of sucks. So, basically, you'll have to go out and grind for some new gear/weapons.

About that scout rifle of yours... I suggest Hung Jury as a replacement for it, 180, WAY BETTER stats, however drops from nightfalls (1310/legends are the way to go)

Basically, everything before POST shadowkeep is gone.

a power cap is a depend on each player.

power cap is not depending on what youve bought, its universal.
if something is capped at 1100 it means its sunset, so you cant level it up anymore, only certain items have been sunset so any new items you can upgrade to your level

huh thank you all for your help and advise . i played the original destiny back on ps3 and was in a good crew . but never hooked up on destiny2 so just casual player . but im in two minds whether to quit . call to serve was my fav .. its just not the same appeal to me when i cant have a unique character.

There are so many new weapons on the game to replace what they removed and every season adds more again.

If you're considering not playing anymore because of one gun then you'd be better off in some single player game man.
