Destiny 2 and the Windows 11 Preview
Can a Dev or someone how knows it for 100% tell me if its safe to play Destiny with the Windows 11 preview?
I am a little worried after hearing that some Anti-Cheat Systems are false flaging/Banning Players who are useing the Win11 preview.

I dont know what you mean... I want to know if it is safe to play Destiny 2 when i am useing the Windows 11 Preview. Easy Anti-Cheat and Battle Eye have/had problems with the Windows 11 Preview and where false flagging/banning Players. I dont know what System Bungie is useing so thats why i am asking.

Best way is to contact Bungie and ask them directly. Give all your info beforehand and tell them youre about try it out. So when something Does happen, you can resort to your previous contact about this as proof.

Every game out there will most likely have issues with windows 11 at first since it's a entirely new windows having barely any utility so yes, you will run into some problems but those will be gone overtime when windows 11 exists for some time.

And what feline says is pretty much irrelevant to your post.

I did a ton of testing with singelplayer games today and all of them run a lot better on my old system. the biggest surprise for me was the performance boost in Cyberpunk 2077. But yeah i did what you said and wrote the topic in the Forum and did a tweet to Bungie, A_dmg04 and Cozmo23. now i wait a day or two and start the testing. when i get a ban i can say that i tried to reached out and hopefully they can see that it was my Win11 that triggered something.

My advice, always wait for some time when installing the newest windows version. I waited several months to make the jump from windows 8 to 10 since my stuff ran better at windows 8 at that time, i did have the free windows 10 installer on my pc so i wouldn't miss out on it's initial free upgrade time period.

I will do the same for windows 11.

Yeah i still see no reason to upgrade. Win 10 is perfect for me,ive never had crashes or anything weird happen, the only blue screen ive ever had was because of a bad overclock i did myself. Im not that interested in Direct storage neither and i think its one of the best OS so far, besides all the bloatware and telemetry which you can still remove/disable anyway.

I have no clue what windows 11 is going to offer either, i could indeed wait several months but i could also continue using windows 10 until it not longer get's any support.

I think Auto HDR / Directx12 Ultimate and Direct storage will be the biggest change for gamers.

"Direct Storage is another Xbox innovation and focuses on quickly loading assets directly off the GPU and SSD without involving the CPU in the process. This is the key pillar behind the current Xbox's velocity architecture and speeds up load times while allowing the console to run multiple games in the background and quickly swap between them at a moment's notice."
Direct Storage sounds interesting, but do games need to be programmed to take advantage of it?

Just let other people be the guinea pigs first. Bungie gets paid to fix the problems. Why risk anything?
